Glitterball is an annual formal ball held in St. Andrews during the second semester, known and loved by those both in St Andrews and outside the Bubble. This magnificent event is the first of its kind in the UK and is fully LGBT+ inclusive. Glitterball is wholly organised by students without funding from the University and we have sustained it for the last five years through sponsors, who recognise the importance of an event of this nature.
Glitterball provides a night of live music, DJs, drag and food but more importantly, an environment for all students to feel comfortable and celebrate their differences. In the past few years we have seen a number of headliners including Vivacious in 2019, a contestant on season 6 of Ru Pauls Drag Race.
Glitterball prides itself on being a truly open and inclusive space to all of its attendees; regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
